During the Consumer Electronics Show today cellular software developer Rocket Mobile introduced RocketJournal, software enabling subscribers to LiveJournal or Blogger to post photos and text to their Weblogs from a BREW-enabled handset.
According to Rocket Mobile's brief press release (that I have not seen posted on its Web site), the president of the company, Wayne Yurtin says, "The RocketJournal application allows users to snap a mobile picture, annotate the blog entry, and post the entry to their existing LiveJournal or Blogger accounts via traditional MMS -- all from a single application."
That's about it for information about the software. Verizon Wireless is the leading provider of BREW applications among cellular operators in the United States, although there are several other U.S. operators offering BREW phones and applications. The press release lists 11 overseas cellular network operators that also offer BREW.
I'm not at the CES and I haven't see a demonstration of RocketJournal.
