My Microsoft SPOT watch just flashed that Kodak is hoping to boost revenues in Europe by launching online photo services for camera phone users. That's all the information I received on my watch.
If you search the Camera Phone Report you'll find a number of articles I've written about Kodak promoting its online photo storage and Picture Maker kiosk printing services around the world. For example, in the United States Kodak is working with Cingular Wireless and Nokia.
Kodak also announced a deal with Verizon Wireless and AT&T Wireless
A big deal for Kodak
These are major, international efforts by Kodak as it tries to transition from a world of film to a world that is increasingly turning to digital cameras and camera phones.
This is just one more reason I am so very bullish on the camera phone business. Old line camera and camera-related companies -- film producers, camera manufacturers, microprocessor vendors and others -- are leveraging their considerable expertise to expand into the wireless environment.
I am sending this entry to Camera Phone Report from my RIM BlackBerry as I am walking around a Virginia shopping center. (Tyson's Galleria, if you must know!]
