    I have been analyzing wireless communications for more than 30 years. I am president of Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing, a pioneering consulting firm that helps create new and enhance existing wireless data businesses in the United States and abroad.

    Previously, I created the world's first wireless data newsletter, wireless data conference, cellular conference and FM radio subcarrier newsletter. I was instrumental in creating and developing the world's first cellular magazine.

    I also helped create and run the first association in the U.S. for the paging and mobile telephone industries.

    Telecom New Zealand picks LightSurf for PictureMail platform

    Telecom New Zealand has begun camera phone service using LightSurf Technology's multimedia messaging platform and introduced the Sanyo 8100 camera phone to its subscribers, LightSurf says.

    "The PictureMail service extends Telecom's existing multimedia messaging services (MMS), enabling Sanyo 8100 users to exchange memories with family and friends, and to store and manage photos from their mobile phones or PCs, using the Online Photo Gallery," the press release says.
