Vodafone today announced it would be offering ten 3G handsets (see below), including Europe's first two megapixel camera phone, in time for the Christmas buying season, according to the press release.
The headsets to be offered are: Sharp 802, Sharp 902, Motorola E1000, Motorola C980, Motorola V980, EC's Vodafone 802N, Sony Ericsson V800, Nokia 6630, Samsung Z110V and Samsung Z107V.
The two megapixel camera phone will feature auto focus and an optical zoom. But the press release doesn't mention the model of the two megapixel camera phone. Anyone know? In Janaury 2004 I wrote about Vodafone offering Sharp's two megapixel camera phone in Japan.
Update: 9-24-2004 -- Thanks to those who left comments noting the two megapixel camera phone will be from Sharp. Gizmodo has an entry pointing to a link at TechDigest that confirms that two megapixel phone will be the Sharp V902sh. The handset also includes an optical zoom and an SD card slot. But it doesn't include a second external display for caller or photo ID.

it looks like it is the Sharp V9902sh if this is right.

The Sharp 902 is the 2.0Mp phone. It probably has this imager in it:
