German medical clinics test 3G phones for medical applications
Six German medical clinics are testing the applicability of 3G phone for healthcare uses, including using camera phones, according to an article in DMeurope.com.
Vodafone Germany is providing the equipment for the tests. The first test, last year, showed the value of transmitting camera phone photos of X-rays to doctors for consultations.
The first tests began in December 2004 and will continue until March 31, 2005, although they could be extended until the end of June.
a new service 3G Doctor is launching in the UK in the coming weeks that will enable to consult with Doctors on their 3G Video Phones.
